Greetings tsunami partners,
The National Tsunami Warning Center is looking forward to this year\'s PACIFEX exercise on Tuesday, May 6th beginning at 11:00am AKDT/1900 UTC and lasting 4 hours. The exercise source will be a M8.8 earthquake located in the Bonin Islands, with alert level tsunami impacts. We will be simulating realistic event information flow through emailed exercise bulletins and providing partner decision support through facilitated conference calls and real-time support via Slack.
The official workbook is planned to be posted to the tsunami.gov website here no later than April 11, 2025.
